BTCC User Notice: Account Deletion Guidelines

This notice is intended for individual users registered with BTCC and clarifies precautions, data handling, and security reminders before and after submitting an account deletion request.

 

I. Pre-Deletion Preparations

 

• Before initiating deletion, be sure there are no assets remaining in the account and complete all withdrawals.

 

• If you recently changed your login password, fund password, bound email, or phone number, the system will trigger a 24-hour withdrawal security observation period. Withdrawals are restricted during this period; to avoid delays, we recommend submitting your deletion request after the period ends.

 

• Additionally, for risk control and compliance convenience (optional), it is recommended to close positions in advance, cancel open/conditional orders, and disable API / Copy Trading and other automated features to prevent new fund or trading changes during processing. If you need records for reconciliation or tax retention, please export your history before proceeding.

 

II. Impacts After Deletion Takes Effect


• Login and trading functions for the account will no longer be available; deposit and withdrawal functions will be disabled.

 

• The account’s deposit and withdrawal services will no longer be provided.

 

• All information associated with the account will be deleted.

 

• Once deleted, the account cannot be used in any way. The phone number and email linked to the account cannot be used for future registration or binding.

 

• Personal information related to the account will be handled in accordance with the platform’s Privacy Policy.

 

• In scenarios involving compliance investigations, judicial assistance, or other legal obligations, the platform may complete related processing after statutory requirements are satisfied.

 

III. How to Submit a Deletion Request


Live Chat (Recommended):
After signing in to the BTCC App, start a chat via Live Chat on the Home page; or go to the website Help Center and click Start Live Chat. Follow the prompts to provide your registered phone/email and the reason for deletion for verification. Our agent will create a follow-up ticket for you.

Email (Alternative):
From the email address bound to your BTCC account, send a message to [email protected]. We recommend using the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and including your registration details and a brief reason in the body. Support will verify and follow up.

 

To protect your account rights and interests, please contact a human agent via Live Chat to confirm your deletion request so your identity, assets, and security matters are properly handled.

 

IV. Data & Privacy

 

BTCC will process your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Under certain circumstances, you may exercise data subject rights such as deletion, access, and rectification. To submit a personal data request, please contact us through the official support channels on the website.

 

For statutory retention obligations or for fraud prevention and anti-money-laundering purposes, certain data may be retained for the legally required period.
