[Important Notice] Account Registration Data Changes and Withdrawal Security Rules (Effective Immediately)

To protect users’ assets, BTCC provides the following notes on “Account Registration Data Changes” and the “Withdrawal Security Observation Period” (effective immediately):

 

I. How to Change Mobile Phone Number / Email


Self-service conditions: Your account must be bound to both a mobile phone number and an email to use self-service modifications.

Scenario A: Both the original email and mobile phone number can receive verification codes

・Change email: enter the original email verification code + the new email verification code + the SMS verification code
・Change mobile phone number: enter the original SMS verification code + the new SMS verification code + the email verification code + the account password

After completion: Withdrawals will be disabled for 24 hours after the change (the system will automatically resume after the time limit).

 

Scenario B: One of the original email or mobile phone number cannot receive verification codes
・On the self-service modification page, click [Unable to Verify].
・Example: You want to change your mobile phone number but cannot receive the original SMS verification code → select [Mobile Phone Number] → enter the email verification code + login password as prompted to reset/unbind the mobile phone number.
・Similarly, if you want to change the email but cannot receive the original email verification code, you may use the SMS verification code + login password to complete verification.

After completion: Withdrawals will likewise be disabled for 24 hours.

 

Operation path
App: Log in → [Security Settings] → select “Email / Mobile Phone Number” → select “Change Mobile Phone Number / Change Email” → follow on-screen prompts to complete verification (click [Unable to Verify] if needed to enter the fallback verification process).

Website: Log in → [Account Security] → only email changes are supported; to change your mobile phone number, please use the App or seek assistance via Live Chat (online support).

 

When Live Chat (online support) is required
・Neither the mobile phone nor the email can receive verification codes; or the page indicates manual review is required; or other exceptions (e.g., additional KYC information needed).

・Path: App (top right of the Home page) / Live Chat (online support) at the bottom right of the website. State your request and complete verification as instructed.

 

II. 24-Hour Withdrawal Security Observation Period


Fixed trigger conditions (auto-release at expiry; no manual request required):
Changing or resetting the login password; changing or resetting the funds password (if enabled on your account); changing or unbinding the mobile phone number/email.After any of the above actions, withdrawals will be suspended for 24 hours and will automatically resume upon expiry. Whether other trading and internal fund transfer functions are limited is subject to notifications.

 

Limits related to fiat/card deposits
After a fiat deposit (including debit card/open banking, etc.), withdrawals typically become available after approximately 24 hours as part of standard risk control. Timing may vary by channel or jurisdiction; please refer to on-screen prompts.

 

Other risk control scenarios
If the account triggers a security review (e.g., abnormal login/high-risk activity), withdrawals may be temporarily restricted; the lifting time is subject to system assessment and notification.

 

III. FAQs


Q1: What if my old mobile phone number/old email is no longer usable?
A: On the self-service modification page, click [Unable to Verify] and, as prompted, use another bound contact method + your login password to complete the fallback verification. If neither is available, please use Live Chat (online support) to switch to identity verification.

 

Q2: Can the 24-hour observation period be shortened?
A: This is a fixed security policy and cannot be canceled manually; it will be lifted automatically at expiry.

 

Q3: How long after a fiat deposit until withdrawals are available?
A: Typically about 24 hours until withdrawals are unlocked. If risk control or review applies, please contact online support.
