A Chinese electric vehicle maker just smashed through resistance levels to hit its highest valuation since 2022. While legacy analysts scramble to update their spreadsheets, crypto-native investors recognize the pattern: disruptive tech adoption always outpaces institutional forecasts.

The EV revolution mirrors crypto's trajectory—early skeptics, explosive growth, and now, undeniable momentum. This stock's rally coincides with Beijing's aggressive green energy push and Tesla's declining dominance in Asia.

Funny how traditional finance always needs three years and a 300% rally to 'discover' what blockchain traders priced in during the pre-seed round. Maybe they'll short it at the top again.

The rally came as investors grew more confident that Xpeng can expand beyond electric vehicles and build new businesses around robotics, autonomous driving, and smart mobility.

AI and Robotics Fuel Investor Interest

At a recent technology showcase, Xpeng unveiled its new IRON humanoid robot and updates to its robotaxi platform, drawing strong investor interest. These projects are still early in development, but they highlight Xpeng’s push to grow into areas with long-term potential beyond traditional EVs.

Eugene Hsiao, head of China equity strategy at Macquarie Capital, said Xpeng could expand into several new areas — including extended-range EVs, flying cars, humanoid robots, and AI chips. “Investors are beginning to price in the upside if even one of these bets pays off,” Hsiao said.

Xpeng Leads Chinese EV Stocks

Xpeng stock have jumped more than 120% so far this year, outperforming Chinese peers Nio (NIO), which is up 54%, and Li Auto (LI), which is down 15%.

This sharp rally suggests that investors now see Xpeng as more than an electric vehicle maker. The company is gaining recognition as a growing force in China’s expanding AI and robotics market.

Is XPEV Stock a Buy or Sell?

Currently, Wall Street has a Moderate Buy consensus rating on Xpeng stock based on eight Buys, two Holds, and one Sell. The average XPEV stock price target of $26 indicates 0.15% downside potential from current levels.
