Geopolitical tensions flare as former President Trump signals potential resurgence of Middle East hostilities.

War drums beat louder—markets brace for impact.

Oil traders lick their lips while crypto hedges spike. Because nothing fuels volatility like the threat of war—except maybe a Fed meeting.

“They fought very, very hard and very viciously, very violently, and they were both satisfied to go home and get out,” said Trump at the NATO Summit on Wednesday. “And can it start again? I guess someday it can. It could maybe start soon.”

He also reiterated his claim that the U.S. “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear facilities in contrast with earlier reports that the U.S.’ attack did not completely destroy Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile and instead pushed back progress by a few months.

U.S. to Hold Meeting with Iran

Trump added that the U.S. WOULD hold a meeting with Iran next week and potentially sign an agreement.

“I mean, they had a war, they fought, now they’re going back to their world. I don’t care if I have an agreement or not,” said Trump. The date and scope of the meeting are still unclear.

The S&P 500 (SPX) has given up some of its morning gains on Trump’s comments but remains in positive territory.
