Archer Aviation (ACHR) Soars with Los Angeles World Cup Partnership and Global Air Taxi Expansion
Urban air mobility just got its biggest validation yet—and it's happening above the traffic-choked streets of Los Angeles.
The World Cup Lift-Off
Archer Aviation secures the Los Angeles World Cup deal, positioning its electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft as the transportation solution for one of the world's most watched sporting events. The partnership demonstrates tangible progress beyond prototype promises.
Global Ambitions Take Flight
While competitors remain grounded in regulatory paperwork, Archer expands its air taxi blueprint across multiple continents. The company's strategy bypasses traditional aviation hurdles by targeting dense urban corridors where ground transportation fails.
Another transportation revolution quietly builds altitude—proving that sometimes the best way to avoid traffic isn't building more roads, but simply rising above them. Though whether this will actually make money remains the multi-billion dollar question keeping Wall Street analysts awake at night.

Archer’s Midnight aircraft can carry a pilot and four passengers. It is built for short flights that replace long car rides. The company plans to open vertiports across the Los Angeles area to connect busy routes before the Olympic Games. Its goal is to make air taxis a regular part of city transport.
Archer’s CEO, Adam Goldstein, said the company is proud to support major Los Angeles events and help improve city mobility. Meanwhile, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Miles Rogers, will join the advisory board of the commission to guide its efforts.
Meanwhile, ACHR shares continue their volatile performance. After rising 5.68% on Monday, the stock fell 4.76% on Tuesday, closing at $11.41.

Growing Global Presence
It’s been a busy few days for Archer as it has just signed an exclusive deal with Korean Air to bring the Midnight to South Korea. The plan includes an option for Korean Air to buy up to 100 aircraft. Both companies will work together to launch air taxi services for public and private use.
Archer says its aircraft recharges quickly and can turn road commutes of up to 90 minutes into flights lasting around 20 minutes. The partnership will start with government applications before expanding to wider commercial use.
In another move, Archer Aviation acquired around 300 patents from Lilium (LILMF) GmbH for about €18 million, or close to $19 million. The deal expands Archer’s global patent portfolio to more than 1,000 assets. The patents cover key systems like ducted fans, propeller design, electric engines, flight controls, and battery systems.
Archer said the new assets will support improvements to current models and help design future aircraft. The purchase also strengthens Archer’s position as a U.S. leader in electric flight.
Industry Shift and Market View
Archer’s recent moves show growing momentum in electric aviation. Its patent expansion supports new aircraft models that can reach regional markets. The company is also benefiting from updates to U.S. aviation standards under the MOSAIC program, which may ease certification for small aircraft.
With strong cash reserves, more than $1 billion in funding, and a current ratio above 20x, Archer is well-positioned to meet its 2026 commercial target.
Is Archer Aviation Stock a Good Buy?
On Wall Street, analysts remain optimistic about the company’s prospects. Based on seven recent ratings, Archer Aviation boasts a “Strong Buy” consensus with an average 12-month price target of $13.14. This implies a 15.16% upside from the current price.
