Solayer unveils new travel booking site on Solana for crypto card holders

Move over, Expedia. Solayer just dropped a bombshell with its Solana-based travel booking platform—exclusively for crypto card users. Lightning-fast transactions, zero middlemen, and a not-so-subtle middle finger to traditional payment rails.

Why book with fiat when your USDC gets you better rates? The platform promises instant settlements, dynamic NFT-based loyalty perks, and of course, the obligatory 'we’re cheaper than banks' boast. (Though let’s be real—that’s a low bar.)

Cynics’ corner: If your portfolio’s still recovering from the last bull run, maybe stick to staycations. For everyone else? This might just be crypto’s slickest real-world use case yet.

How does Solayer Travel work?

Users can access Solayer Travel by registering for an Emerald Card by taking part in Know-Your-Customer verification. Once approved, the VIRTUAL card is activated on the user’s device, primarily through Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Once the user deposits enough USDC into their Emerald Card, they can start booking through the platform. Payments made through the travel booking platform are processed through the Emerald Card’s Visa network.

In addition, the site provides customer support through travel agent available around the clock to help with booking modifications, cancellations, or customer inquiries.

Overtime, Solayer hopes to continue expanding the platform into anend-to-end travel ecosystem, with additions including global flights, e-SIM data packs, airport lounge access, and concierge services planned for the second half of 2025.
