WiseLink Makes History as Taiwan’s First Public Company to Adopt Bitcoin Strategy
Taiwan's corporate landscape just got a crypto shakeup—WiseLink becomes the island's first publicly traded firm to officially embrace Bitcoin.
Breaking Traditional Mold
While legacy finance still debates digital assets, WiseLink cuts through the noise with a concrete Bitcoin adoption plan. No vague promises—just actionable strategy that positions them ahead of regional competitors.
Market Implications
The move signals growing institutional confidence in cryptocurrency despite regulatory uncertainties. Other Taiwanese firms now face pressure to follow suit or risk being left behind in the digital transformation race.
Because nothing says 'financial innovation' like watching traditional investors suddenly pretend they understood blockchain all along.
Strategic investment approach
WiseLink structured its investment as a three-year convertible note, giving the company principal protection and fixed income while retaining the option to convert to equity.
CEO Tsai Kun Huang explained the decision:
“We believe now is the golden window to implement a bitcoin capital strategy.”
He cited global monetary easing and rising geopolitical uncertainty as motivating factors.
Huang clarified that WiseLink is not directly buying bitcoin, but rather integrating bitcoin into its cross-border financial operations to pursue both asset preservation and business innovation.
Growing trend among Asian corporations
This MOVE places WiseLink alongside other Asian firms adopting bitcoin strategies. The largest in the region, Metaplanet, already holds 18,888 BTC and aims for 210,000 BTC by 2027.
Other notable investors in the round include Chad Koehn of United Capital Management and several private investors.
The rebranding of Top Win to AsiaStrategy also marks a growing trend of public companies acquiring others with digital asset exposure.
Bitcoin adoption and market conditions
WiseLink’s entry comes as bitcoin trades above $110,000. Analysts attribute the rally to steady “drip” buying from corporate treasuries and spot ETFs, rather than hype-driven speculation.
Bitcoin advocates view this as corporate recognition of bitcoin’s properties as a decentralized, scarce, and inflation-resistant asset.
Financial stability and long-term vision
Unlike some firms that turn to bitcoin as a last resort, WiseLink enters from a position of financial strength, having reported positive net income in 2024.
The firm’s strategy reflects a broader corporate movement toward using bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset.
