BREAKING: A stark warning from Google researchers reveals quantum computers could crack Bitcoin's cryptographic security within minutes, potentially triggering a 10% market correction as investors scramble for quantum-resistant alternatives. The study, highlighting vulnerabilities in current blockchain encryption, has accelerated the search for assets capable of navigating the post-quantum landscape, with three emerging cryptocurrencies now positioned as potential safe havens.

Ethereum (ETH) has made substantial inroads in making the project quantum resistant. According to Ethereum Foundation researcher Antonio Sanso, the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap is 20% done with becoming quantum resistant. Becoming 100% quantum resistant could make ETH a very attractive asset for investors in the future. Sanso stated, ““

Algorand (ALGO) is another cryptocurrency that could be safe in a post-quantum computer world. Google’s research specifically named ALGO for its readiness for a post-quantum computer world. ALGO’s price seems to be reacting to the development as the asset has seen substantial price gains lately.

Google Quantum AI just published a landmark paper on quantum threats to every major blockchain.

The third cryptocurrency that could potential safely navigate a post-quantum computer world is Hedera (HBAR). The project uses SHA-384 cryptography, as opposed to Bitcoin’s SHA 256. SHA-384 is often cited as being quantum-resistant. Like Algorand (ALGO), Hedera (HBAR) is also experiencing a price rally today.

While the above mentioned cryptocurrencies could potentially be safe from future quantum hacks, nothing is set in stone. Quantum computers are expected to get even more powerful as time passes, and cryptocurrency projects may need to further amp their game.
