Shiba Inu ecosystem has officially moved toward real decentralization with ShibDAO, a new governance platform now run by the community. This launch introduces a way that all decisions about the SHIB ecosystem are now made openly instead of being hidden from view. 

This means that members of the community can now speak directly and shape how SHIB-related projects MOVE forward.

Opting for ShibDAO Staking Lets Users in on Voting

ShibDAO gives users a chance to join in governance decisions by staking. If tokens such as SHIB, BONE, LEASH or TREAT are locked in Bury 2.0, users receive voting power. 

The size and duration of a stake increases a person’s ability to affect critical decisions. That way, people who participate in the community can influence its direction.

To make voting simpler, it is done outside of the ethereum network on a platform known as Snapshot. So, people can vote in the community and pay nothing in fees, because the system constantly checks on-chain staking data to know the votes’ influence. To take part, users visit shib.snapshot.org, where they can add proposals and contribute to their count.

Shib DAO Handles Projects, Charity, Events, and Experiences

There are many people without the time required to join every vote; for this reason, ShibDAO employs the use of a delegation system. Users can give their voting account to people they trust, who will use it to represent them when voting. Users can change permissions and take over any tasks at any moment.

Moreover, ShibDAO launches a DAO Factory supported by SNS (Shib Name Service). A user can now set up their own decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) simply by registering for a Shib Name. If a DAO is needed for games, art, DeFi or public goods, the right tools are there and ready to be used.

A Number Of DAOs Currently Work Within The SHIB Ecosystem

Right now, there are many DAOs already active in the ecosystem. The Shib DAO mainly looks after the community’s projects, charity, enhancements to the worldwide user experience, and events in its ecosystem. 

Voting on proposals for both upgrading and developing Shibarium is the main priority in Bone DAO. Governance conflicts are taken on by Leash DAO, while Treat DAO focuses on encouraging and driving forward the development of decentralized applications.
