Truth Social’s AI Search Sparks Controversy 

Truth Social is adding AI to improve its user experience, similar to other platforms such as X (which launched Grok in 2023) and Meta (which introduced Meta AI in 2024). But, a challenge that the new AI tool faces is that Perplexity has been criticized by companies like BBC and Forbes. In June 2025, they claimed that Perplexity had used their content without seeking any permission. 

Perplexity, on the other hand, denied these claims. Early tests show Truth Search AI often pulls from conservative sources, but Perplexity says users can adjust the sources it uses. With over 10 million users, Truth Social is growing its services, including Truth+ (a streaming platform) and Truth.Fi (a financial brand). The testing phase for Truth Search AI is important to improve it, especially as people are concerned about misinformation and one-sided viewpoints.
