Musk’s ’Gork’ Tweet Triggers 70% Memecoin Frenzy—Because Fundamentals Are Overrated
Another day, another Elon Musk tweet sending crypto markets into chaos. This time it’s ’Gork’—a memecoin with no utility, no roadmap, and absolutely no reason to exist—soaring 70% on pure hype.
Pump-and-dump? In crypto? Never. Just ask the bagholders from last week’s celebrity-endorsed shitcoin.
Meanwhile, serious projects building actual blockchain solutions watch in despair as the market rewards viral nonsense—again.

However, the hype didn’t stop there.
Within hours of Musk’s tweet, numerous fake or parody memecoins using the Gork name began popping up on pump.fun, a platform known for fast-moving meme coin launches.
Most of these knock-offs had tiny market caps, some as low as $4,000, and were created in the 12 hours following the viral tweet.
Two of these copycat coins stood out for having slightly higher market caps:
- Gork Musk (GM) – Created 21 minutes ago, market cap: $45,195
- Gorilla On Retarded Kangaroo (GORK) – Created about an hour ago, market cap: $5,374
Despite their funny names and small size, these coins have been gaining attention simply by riding on the viral wave sparked by Musk.
As always, traders are urged to tread carefully. The memecoin market moves fast, and not every new coin with a trendy name has staying power or legitimacy.
