Netflix Readying FTX Series, Julia Garner in Talks to Play Caroline Ellison

Hollywood pounces on crypto’s most spectacular trainwreck: Netflix fast-tracks an FTX series, with ’Ozark’ star Julia Garner in talks to play disgraced Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison.

The ultimate ’rug pull’ gets the prestige TV treatment—just as Sam Bankman-Fried’s prison sentence hits the halfway mark. Because nothing says ’financial reckoning’ like A-list actors dramatizing your failures for 50 million subscribers.

Wall Street’s still licking wounds from the crypto contagion? Perfect timing. Nothing heals like schadenfreude served in 4K HDR.

Netflix Not Alone in FTX Bid: Big Names, Big Projects

Variety reported that the project will see Oscar-winner Graham Moore (‘The Imitation Game’, ‘The Outfit’, ‘The Holdout’) as the writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner on the project. Also, Jacqueline Hoyt (‘The Leftovers’, ‘The Good Wife’, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’) will be executive producer and co-showrunner.

Furthermore, Barack and Michelle Obama’swill executive produce the project. These are just some of the big names attached to the series.

In the works for a while, Netflix is bringing the love story of Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison to life with a new 8-episode biopic series with Oscar-winning writer Graham Moore attached to write and the Obama’s Higher Ground Productions producing.
