Another day, another crypto dumpster fire. FTX creditors just got a nasty surprise—their personal data leaked, and phishing vultures are already circling. Here’s what went down.

When life gives you lemons, hackers make phishing scams. The latest FTX creditor breach proves crypto’s golden rule: trust nothing, double-check everything. Stay sharp—or get rekt.

FTX Creditor Data Leak Raises Phishing Alert

FTX creditor activist Sunil Kavuri has revealed a data leak involving names and email addresses of FTX creditors. The breach likely originated from FTX or its claims agent Kroll, following a SIM-swapping attack on a Kroll employee. This exposure has led to phishing emails targeting creditors, impersonating the exchange and urging caution. Creditors are advised to avoid clicking email links, verify sender authenticity, and use only official claims portals. Vigilance is crucial as FTX prepares to begin creditor payouts starting September 30, 2025.
