Another day, another crypto hack—except this time, the good guys won. Binance and Kraken just swatted away coordinated social engineering attacks nearly identical to the one that drained $90M from Coinbase last year. Hackers clearly didn’t get the memo that ‘insider threat’ isn’t a how-to manual.
Security teams at both exchanges spotted the phishing attempts—fake IT requests, spoofed exec emails—before any damage was done. Turns out ‘verify first, click never’ actually works. Who knew?
