Is QuizUp still available?

If you’re a trivia game lover, chances are, you are familiar with QuizUp. To refresh your memory, QuizUp is a trivia game app for iOS and Android that lets you play trivia with friends and strangers in real time… well, it was. QuizUp is no longer available in the App Store or Google Play, and we’ll get into the reason for that in a minute.

How does QuizUp work?

The better versed you are in a certain topic, the more points you will accumulate. The scoring system in QuizUp is quite an elaborate one. At the end of each round you will accumulate points for the match score, a finish bonus, a victory bonus (if you win) and you can also get a power up bonus.

What happened to QuizUp?

On 20 January 2021, QuizUp was removed from the App Store, and on 21 January 2021, it was announced on the QuizUp app that the game was being discontinued on 22 March 2021. On 24 March 2021, QuizUp ' s servers were taken offline and the application and web service became inaccessible, after several hours of delay.

What is the scoring system in QuizUp?

The scoring system in QuizUp is quite an elaborate one. At the end of each round you will accumulate points for the match score, a finish bonus, a victory bonus (if you win) and you can also get a power up bonus. Once the game is over, you have the option of playing another opponent on the same topic, or challenging your opponent to another duel.
