Black Friday came early—and Walmart just schooled Washington on value.

Trump’s latest endorsement isn’t a political ally—it’s a big-box retailer slashing prices while inflation still bites. The former president hailed Walmart’s Thanksgiving Day discounts as ‘better than anything Biden’s delivered’ for American wallets. Ouch.

Meanwhile, Wall Street analysts nod sagely—because nothing says ‘healthy economy’ like counting on discount grocers to offset policy failures. Happy holidays, indeed.

Dead Affordable

Taking to TruthSocial today the President tucked his golden napkin under his chin and posted: “2025 Thanksgiving dinner under TRUMP is 25% lower than 2024 Thanksgiving dinner under Biden, according to Walmart (WMT). My cost are lower than the Democrats on everything, especially oil and gas! So the Democrats “affordability” issue is DEAD! STOP LYING!!!”

Trump was therefore in his best Trumpy mood on our Trump News & Truth Social Impact tool:

Not exactly the typical contemplative, Thanksgiving sentiment Americans have come to expect, but Trump’s facts were doubled-down by the WHITE House.

“President Donald J. Trump promised to crush inflation and lower prices — and he’s delivering this Thanksgiving, with the classic holiday feast about 3% cheaper than last year,” it said. Americans are seeing across-the-board price declines for the holiday staples, with dinner rolls down 22%, frozen vegetables down 15%, and items like turkeys, stuffing, gravy mix, fresh cranberries, and pumpkin pies all costing less.”

Retail Relief

It hailed Walmart’s Thanksgiving meal, which costs 25% less than last year with its lowest turkey price since 2019.The meal feeds ten people which works out to just under $4 per person. It is the lowest since the retailer launched the program in 2022.

It’s also offering free express delivery on the meal basket for first-time Pickup and Delivery customers.

The White House also said that Target’s (TGT) Thanksgiving meal was its lowest price ever with Lidl and Aldi’s offerings also lower than this time last year.

The price cut comes as U.S. retailers respond to customer concerns over higher inflation, living costs and uncertainty over the economy tied to ironically President Trump’s tariff strategies.
