The US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) is expected to announce its decision on Franklin Templeton’s application by June 17th.
If the ETF is approved, XRP could see a similar explosive move to the upside as Bitcoin did last year in January. At writing, several other applications for XRP ETFs are pending review as well that are already bringing significant attention to the cryptocurrency.
Exchange-traded funds could open the institutional capital floodgates on XRP, which could help its price soar in the second half of 2025.
Another upcoming event that could serve as a tailwind for XRP is the Fed’s rate-setting meeting on June 17th – 18th. Note that lower interest rates tend to drive money out of bonds and saving accounts and into risk-on assets like XRP.
With an exciting market cap, a vibrant community, and a price that’s only a fraction of what BTC trades at, Ripple’s native coin XRP looks relatively better positioned to outperform in the current environment and emerge as millionaire Maker in the long run.

Another key event that’s taking place from June 10–12 in Singapore is the XRPL Apex conference hosted by Ripple.

At the time of writing, XRP is going for about $2.40 with a 24-hour trading volume of about $4.17 billion, down 4.72%.
However, technicals continue to favor a sharp surge in XRP price. The altcoin has its Relative Strength Index (RSI) at close to 57 currently with the MACD keeping in a positive crossover as well.
Together, these bullish technical indicators suggest significant further room for upside and long-term potential in XRP of becoming a millionaire maker crypto coin.

At its current price of around $2.40, hitting the coveted $100 mark WOULD represent a more than 40x return. That means an investment of approximately $25,000 today could potentially turn into $1 million if XRP reaches that level.
