Private Jets Meet Crypto: Jetcraft Now Accepts Bitcoin for Luxury Flights via CoinPayments
High-flyers can now skip the bank wires—Jetcraft just cut a deal with CoinPayments to let crypto whales book private jets with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and 100+ altcoins. No more waiting for SWIFT transfers when your Lambo needs wings.
The move taps into a growing trend of ultra-high-net-worth individuals parking wealth in digital assets. Because nothing says ’hedge against inflation’ like a $65 million Gulfstream paid for in Dogecoin.
While traditional finance clings to legacy systems, private aviation continues to lap them on innovation—this time by letting crypto elites bypass fiat entirely. Just don’t expect the champagne to be comped when ETH gas fees spike mid-flight.
Luxury markets embrace crypto
The partnership between CoinPayments and Jetcraft marks the first major integration of crypto payment solutions within the private aviation sector. However, the use of crypto in services tailored to high-net-worth individuals has been steadily gaining traction across other luxury markets.
For example, luxury real estate firms in cities like Miami and Dubai have begun accepting Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies for multi-million dollar property transactions. In 2022, ONE Sotheby’s International Realty partnered with Voxel Architects and NFT collector Gabe Sierra to launch the “MetaReal” Mansion project in Miami, aiming to sell a real-world luxury home alongside its digital twin in the metaverse, with the transaction executed via an NFT on the ethereum (ETH) blockchain.
Similarly, luxury retailers and concierge services catering to affluent clientele have embraced crypto. The luxury watch brand Hublot began accepting BTC and ETH for select limited-edition timepieces, while companies like Post Oak Motor Cars in Houston—backed by billionaire Tilman Fertitta—accepting Bitcoin (BTC) for high-end vehicles including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Bugatti.
