Tokyo’s Metaplanet just dropped another ¥10 billion into Bitcoin—because traditional finance was too stable, apparently. The firm scooped up 1,241 BTC this week, ballooning its stash to 6,796 coins worth roughly $580 million at current prices.
Why? Hedging against Japan’s debt spiral, of course. While the Bank of Japan toys with negative rates, Metaplanet’s playing digital gold rush. ‘Diversification’ sounds better than ‘desperation,’ right?
