A crypto wallet announcement created market volatility and family disputes after the Trump Organization distanced itself from the project. The confusion began when Magic Eden and the TRUMP memecoin team announced plans for an “Official $TRUMP Wallet” on June 3.

Donald TRUMP Jr. quickly responded that the Trump Organization “has zero involvement with this wallet product.” He stated he knows “nothing about it” and that their crypto platform World Liberty Financial “will be launching our official wallet soon.”

Eric Trump called the wallet unauthorized and warned Magic Eden to “be extremely careful using our name in a project that has not been approved.” Even Barron Trump made his first X post to deny family involvement with the wallet.

The TRUMP token saw immediate market impact from the announcement. The token briefly surged to nearly $12 before stabilizing around $11.50 as the family denials emerged.

Complex Ownership Structure

The wallet confusion stems from overlapping Trump-linked crypto entities. GetTrumpMemes.com owns the TRUMP token and is controlled by Fight Fight Fight LLC. This company is co-owned by CIC Digital LLC, which has Trump Organization ties.

American businessman Bill Zanker appears in documents for Fight Fight Fight LLC. He also holds Trump tokens through CIC Digital and helped launch the TRUMP memecoin and Trump NFT collections.

The Trump Wallet website still describes itself as the “Official $TRUMP Wallet by President Trump.” It states that Magic Eden partnered with GetTrumpMemes.com for the launch despite family denials.

Separate Official Development

Trump Media & Technology Group is developing a different official wallet. The company behind Truth Social is partnering with Magic Eden and Slingshot Finance for this separate project.

This partnership aims to expand Trump Media’s digital asset presence. The company previously launched Trump Cards NFT collections and recently raised $2.5 billion for Bitcoin purchases.

The dual wallet developments have created market confusion. Crypto analyst Molly WHITE called the situation “absolute chaos” and suggested communication breakdowns between Trump crypto businesses.

Magic Eden, the TRUMP token team, and CEO Jack Lu have not responded to the family denials. The silence has left investors uncertain about which wallet project is legitimate.

Bitcoin traded at $105,726 at the time of reporting, down 0.41% over 24 hours as the broader crypto market remained volatile.
