Breaking the chains of legacy infrastructure, Backpack Exchange just plugged into Sei Network—turbocharging blockchain accessibility for the masses.

Why this matters

Sei's parallelized orderbook meets Backpack's slick interface, creating a trading experience that actually works faster than Wall Street's 1970s-era settlement systems. No more watching paint dry while your cross-chain swap processes.

The cynical take

While traditional finance still charges $25 wire fees and takes three business days to move money, this integration proves decentralized networks can outperform dinosaurs—assuming the crypto bros don't get distracted by the next shiny meme coin.

Backpack Exchange Integrates Sei Network for Enhanced Blockchain Accessibility

Backpack, a prominent crypto exchange and self-custodial wallet platform, has announced its integration with Sei Network, an ultra-fast Layer 1 blockchain. This development marks a significant step in enhancing the accessibility and efficiency of digital asset interaction, according to Sei's official announcement.

Enhancing User Experience

The integration positions Backpack Wallet as a recommended choice for users and developers within the Sei ecosystem. By offering a secure platform to store, send, and interact with Sei-native assets, users can now access top Sei dApps and projects seamlessly. This initiative also introduces native USDC support on Sei, facilitating stablecoin settlements and expanding trading pair opportunities.

Jayendra Jog, Co-Founder of SEI Labs, emphasized the synergy between Backpack's technical and operational capabilities and Sei's infrastructure. He stated, "Backpack's integration aligns with our mission to provide infrastructure that enables faster, safer, and more accessible digital asset interaction."

Expanding Blockchain Integration

Backpack currently supports Solana, Ethereum, and Sui, with Sei's integration marking its latest expansion into LAYER 1 blockchain solutions. Since its inception, Backpack Exchange has handled over $139 billion in cumulative volume, becoming a preferred platform for retail and institutional traders alike.

Armani Ferrante, CEO and Founder of Backpack, expressed enthusiasm about the integration, highlighting the potential for users and developers to leverage the full range of offerings within the Sei ecosystem.

About Sei Network

Sei Network is known for its high-speed performance in digital asset markets. Since launching its mainnet in 2023, it has managed billions of transactions across over 40 million wallets. Currently, its V3 Giga update on Devnet represents a novel scaling strategy for the ethereum ecosystem. Backed by major investors such as Multicoin, Jump, and Coinbase Ventures, Sei continues to innovate in blockchain technology.

The integration with Backpack is expected to further enhance Sei's reach and functionality, providing users with a robust and efficient trading experience.
