Elon’s Crypto Gambit: How Digital Assets Might Topple Trump in 2028
The 2028 election chessboard just got a blockchain upgrade. Elon Musk’s rumored pivot to crypto-heavy campaign financing could rewrite the political playbook—and leave traditional donors scrambling.
Money moves at the speed of memecoins
Forget Super PACs. Musk’s potential embrace of decentralized fundraising—think Bitcoin treasuries, NFT voter incentives, and maybe even a Dogecoin war chest—bypasses legacy gatekeepers. It’s a direct line to the digitally-native electorate.
The inflation hedge play
With fiat currencies looking shaky, crypto reserves could let Musk’s campaign sidestep dollar devaluation. Smart contracts might even automate micro-donations every time Trump tweets about ‘fake news’.
Warning: volatility ahead
Of course, betting on digital assets means riding their 30% daily swings. Nothing says ‘high-stakes campaign’ like your war chest mooning—or rug-pulling—before the Iowa caucus.
One thing’s clear: the 2028 money race just went Web3. Whether that’s genius or hubris? The blockchain doesn’t lie—but good luck auditing it.
Musk Forms America Party, Trump Reacts Boldly
Elon Musk has now taken a bold step to officially challenge the US president, Donald Trump. Musk has announced the launch of his new America Party, which has already been attracting the “ire” from the president himself. Writing a crass post about Musk’s new political move, TRUMP stated how he is saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely “off the rails.”

— Sawyer Merritt (@SawyerMerritt) July 6, 2025Musk seems to have adopted a nonchalant attitude in this feud, busy pivoting the minds of Americans to recognize what true freedom truly is.
By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it!
When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy.
Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom. https://t.co/9K8AD04QQN
Musk Can Only Win If He Makes This Financial Move
In response to the recent developments, Musk has actively let the world know about his inclinations towards Bitcoin. Musk, when asked whether his party WOULD adopt Bitcoin, responded that he thinks fiat is hopeless and that his party will be embracing crypto.
If that’s not it, Musk retweeted Dogecoin’s founder Billy Marcus’s tweet that said how a third party winning in the US cannot be a “bad thing.”
my opinion of the american party is as far as i can tell, both major parties in the USA are horrible and a third party that threatens them to be less terrible or even wins can’t be a bad thing
— Shibetoshi Nakamoto (@BillyM2k) July 7, 2025In addition to this, Musk’s America party’s X account is busy putting up pro-crypto opinions, stating how the party will favor a pro-Bitcoin stance if elected as the ultimate winner of 2028.
Crypto isn’t a threat.
It’s a tool.
A tool to decentralize power, protect value, and build systems that actually work.
The 'America Party' supports technology that gives you more control.
If Musk ends up strategically aligning with the US digital asset domain, this move could ultimately help him win against Trump in 2028.
Great! You have my vote!
