CZ’s Million-Dollar Bitcoin Bet: Binance Founder Predicts Crypto’s Ultimate Moon Shot
Binance’s ex-CEO Changpeng Zhao just dropped a bombshell—Bitcoin could hit $1M per coin. Here’s the timeline (and why Wall Street will hate it).
---
The Prediction: No vague ’someday’ talk. CZ pins BTC’s seven-figure future on mass adoption, institutional FOMO, and—of course—the halving cycle’s supply crunch. His track record? Spotty, but the man did build a crypto empire on BNB fumes.
---
The Timeline: ’Before 2040’ sounds conservative... until you realize that’s a 30x gain from today’s prices. Retail traders are already levering up, while hedge funds quietly rebalance their ’digital gold’ PowerPoint slides.
---
The Catch: Every bull run needs a villain. This time? Probably the SEC—or whichever regulator suddenly remembers crypto exists after the ATH party.
---
Bottom Line: CZ’s playing the long game from his (probably very nice) home office. Meanwhile, your financial advisor still thinks blockchain is a type of Ikea shelf.
Bitcoin’s Timeline to $1 Million
Binance founder CZ is not the only crypto personality to predict BTC hitting $1 million. While CZ’s timeline is rather short, others anticipate BTC hitting the seven-figure mark over a few years.
According to Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood, BTC could hit the $1 mark by 2030. Wood cites institutional adoption, corporate treasury investments, and interest from nation-states as potential drivers for the price spike.
Twitter (now known as X) Jack Dorsey also anticipates BTC to hit the $1 million mark by 2030. Dorsey highlighted the ecosystem’s growth and traditional finance-disrupting potential as reasons for his prediction.
Microstrategy CEO Michael Saylor is one of the most significant advocates for Bitcoin (BTC). Saylor anticipates BTC’s market cap to hit $180 trillion by 2045. Such circumstances would take BTC’s price beyond $1 million per coin.
The late John McAfee also predicted that Bitcoin (BTC) would hit $1 million if it breached the $100,000 level. BTC pushed past the $100k mark in December 2024. McAfee did not give an exact timeline for when the asset could hit $1 million. However, since BTC broke the $100,000 mark in 2024, we may be on the path to $1 million next.
The late Hal Finney also predicted in 2009 that Bitcoin (BTC) would go beyond $1 million. Finney is also one of the suspects for being Satoshi Nakamoto. Finney said BTC would reach $10 million per coin based on its potential to capture a portion of global wealth.
