Ethereum Mainnet Set to Scale to 10,000 TPS by 2031 Through L2 Networks, GrowThePie Predicts
Ethereum's scaling revolution kicks into high gear as Layer 2 networks promise to transform the mainnet into a speed demon.
The 10,000 TPS Vision
GrowThePie's latest analysis reveals Ethereum's roadmap to achieve blistering 10,000 transactions per second by 2031. Layer 2 solutions aren't just supplementary anymore—they're becoming the main event for Ethereum's scalability narrative.
L2 Networks Take Center Stage
While traditional scaling debates focused on mainnet upgrades, the real action shifts to rollups and sidechains. These secondary layers handle the heavy lifting while maintaining Ethereum's security backbone—creating a symbiotic relationship that could finally deliver the throughput users demand.
The Infrastructure Overhaul
Zero-knowledge proofs and optimistic rollups evolve from experimental tech to production-ready solutions. The gradual maturation process mirrors the painful but necessary growth spurts of any transformative technology—except this time, the stakes involve handling billions in digital assets.
Timeline vs. Reality
2031 projections sound comfortably distant until you realize that's just six years for infrastructure that needs to support the entire decentralized economy. Typical tech timelines—always optimistic enough to secure funding but realistic enough to avoid outright laughter from engineers.
Ethereum either becomes the global settlement layer it promised or becomes another case study in blockchain's scaling trilemma. The race against competing chains and user patience continues—no pressure.
Russia Supports Zimbabwe To Join the BRICS Alliance

Zimbabwe has received the backing from Russia to join the BRICS alliance. Russia also announced that it has invited Zimbabwe to attend the 2026 summit in India.
Nikolay Krasilnikov, Russia’s Ambassador to Harare, said that they strongly support Zimbabwe’s BRICS ascension. Krasilnikov explained that Zimbabwe has the option to choose its levels of involvement in the alliance. That includes joining the bloc, or being a partner country, or an observer, or joining the New Development Bank (NDB).
said the diplomat.
The diplomat also stressed that Russia values Zimbabwe’s values of “and the ideology matches the BRICS agenda.the diplomat concluded.
However, BRICS expansion is consensus-based, and every member has to agree on Zimbabwe, not just Russia. While Russia supports Zimbabwe’s ascension, the development is still in its infancy. Whether the alliance will allow the new country to join will be decided at the next summit in India.
