ASX Embraces New Inquiry Panel Appointments – A Bold Step Forward

ASX shakes up governance with fresh inquiry panel appointments—because nothing says 'trust us' like another layer of oversight.

ASX acknowledges the announcement by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) of the appointment of panel members to examine the frameworks and practices within ASX Group in relation to governance, capability and risk management.

The panel will be chaired by Rob Whitfield AM and he will be joined by two other members; Christine Holman and Guy Debelle.

ASX Limited Chair David Clarke said: “We welcome the appointment of these highly regarded individuals, and we are committed to engaging constructively and openly with them. These appointments will bring important perspectives and the Board and I are confident the panel’s review will focus on work we can do that will ultimately support continued confidence in ASX.”

The Inquiry panel will provide a report to ASIC by 31 March 2026.
