I'm trying to understand why I need Ethereum to send USDT. I've heard that USDT is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, but why does it require Ethereum for transactions? Is it because USDT is issued on the Ethereum blockchain or is there another reason? Why do I need Ethereum to send USDT?
