To illustrate, if the current price of BTC/USD is 1.2, then any movement in the fourth decimal place, such as from 1.2000 to 1.2001, would represent a change of 1 pip.

If we were to encounter a price of 1.2 and the number 2 appeared after the decimal point, it would actually represent 2 pips. For instance, a price of 1.22 would indicate a movement of 20 pips from 1.00, with the last two digits after the decimal point signifying 2 pips.

For the BTC/USD currency pair, the size of 1 pip is fixed at 0.1. This means that any movement in the exchange rate by 0.1 is considered as 1 pip.
