How does the mempool accelerator work?

The mempool accelerator is a service launched by the Bitcoin mining pool, Mempool. It aims to expedite transaction approvals on the bitcoin network by allowing users to pay extra miner fees and service charges. This service partners with major mining pools, covering about 40% of the global bitcoin hashrate, to prioritize transactions based on acceleration fees. Users can choose to accelerate transactions via the mempool.space platform, without the need for registration, using bitcoin, Lightning Network, or fiat payments. The accelerated transactions are displayed on Mempool's block audit dashboard for transparency.
