Is Trezor safer than MetaMask?

I'm trying to decide between using Trezor and MetaMask for my cryptocurrency wallet. While both seem to have their advantages, security is my top concern. I've heard that Trezor, as a hardware wallet, provides an extra level of security compared to software wallets like MetaMask. However, MetaMask seems more convenient for daily transactions. I'm wondering if the added security of Trezor makes it a better choice overall.
