I'm trying to understand if a MUX (multiplexer) can be considered as a type of switch. I know a MUX selects one of many input signals and forwards it to a single output, but I'm not sure if this qualifies it as a switch in the traditional sense.

With this switch, you can decide to turn off either the integrated GPU or the discrete GPU.
