Can you wear Pixiu to toilet?

I'm wondering if it's appropriate to wear my Pixiu jewelry, which is a traditional Chinese talisman, when I go to the toilet. I'm concerned about whether it's respectful to the talisman and if it might affect its supposed protective powers.
