VEKLURY is a drug used for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in certain patients. It is specifically indicated for adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and older with body weight at least 40 kg) who have pneumonia requiring supplemental oxygen. Additionally, it has also been approved for the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 in pediatric patients above 28 days of age and weighing at least 3kg. VEKLURY is an antiviral medication that works by inhibiting the replication of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
