When was IHC developed?

IHC, or Immunohistochemistry, is a technique developed and optimized by R&D Systems. It involves the fixation, microtome sectioning, and staining of paraffin-embedded tissue samples. The precise experimental conditions for each antigen of interest are determined by the investigator. This technique has been widely used in pathological diagnosis to identify cell types, recognize cell products, and understand the degree of differentiation, among other applications.
