"Magic mouthwash" is a unique concoction that combines two common medications to provide relief for certain oral conditions. It is made by mixing equal parts of liquid Benadryl, an antihistamine used to alleviate symptoms like itching, sneezing, and runny nose, and Mylanta, an antacid that treats heartburn and acid indigestion.

To prepare this mouthwash, simply combine the liquid Benadryl and Mylanta in a clean container and mix well. The resulting solution should be a milky white color. It's important to note that this mixture should be freshly prepared each time it's needed as it may lose its effectiveness over time.

The patient is then instructed to swish the "magic mouthwash" in their mouth, ensuring that it coats all affected areas. This helps to soothe and alleviate discomfort caused by various oral issues such as mouth sores, canker sores, or irritation from chemotherapy treatments.
