Can you send BTC on BSC network?

I'm curious, can you actually send Bitcoin (BTC) on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network? I've heard of different blockchains supporting various cryptocurrencies, but I'm not sure if BSC is designed to handle BTC transactions. Wouldn't that require a bridge or some sort of conversion process, since BSC and Bitcoin's blockchain are separate entities?
