What side is the psoas muscle on?

Could you please clarify for me which side of the body the psoas muscle is located on? I'm not entirely familiar with the anatomy of this particular muscle and I'm curious to learn more about its positioning in the human body. Is it found on the left side, the right side, or does it span across both sides? Your explanation would be greatly appreciated.
