What are the benefits of drifting?

I'm curious, what are the advantages of drifting? I've heard it's a thrilling and adrenaline-pumping experience, but I'm not sure if there are any tangible benefits to the practice. Is it just a hobby for thrill-seekers, or are there some skills or techniques that can be learned from drifting that can be applied in other areas of life? And if so, what are they?
