Why is Reiki so expensive?

I've often wondered, why is Reiki so expensive? As someone who's interested in alternative healing methods, I understand the importance of investing in one's health and well-being. But when it comes to Reiki, the prices can seem exorbitant, especially compared to other types of energy healing. Is it because Reiki practitioners require extensive training and certification?
