Can you bring absinthe to the US?

Can you tell me if it's possible to bring absinthe into the United States? I've heard conflicting information on whether or not it's legal, and I'm planning a trip soon and would like to bring some with me. Is there a specific type of absinthe that's allowed, or do I need to be careful about the alcohol content? Also, if it's allowed, are there any restrictions on how much I can bring in?
