Why is it hot during aphelion?

Excuse me, could you please clarify why it's often hot during aphelion, despite the fact that it's when the Earth is farthest from the Sun in its orbit? It seems counterintuitive that we would experience warmer temperatures when we're physically further away from the primary source of heat and light in our solar system. Could there be other factors at play, such as seasonal changes or the Earth's tilt, that might explain this phenomenon? I'd appreciate any insights you could provide.
