Can people change from the core?

Can people truly undergo a fundamental transformation at their very core? Is it possible for individuals to shed their old habits, beliefs, and behaviors and emerge as an entirely new person? Or are we all essentially bound by our innate natures, shaped by our past experiences and genetic makeup? Is change truly possible, or are we merely illusions of progress, trapped within the confines of our own limitations? Can we truly break free from the chains of our past and forge a new path for ourselves, or are we doomed to repeat the same patterns and mistakes over and over again?
