Do I need a photo ID for CEX?

Excuse me, I was wondering if you could clarify something for me about cryptocurrency exchanges, specifically centralized exchanges (CEXs). Is it a requirement for users to provide a photo ID in order to access and trade on these platforms? I understand there are security measures in place to protect users and prevent fraudulent activity, but I'm just curious if this particular step is universally mandated across all CEXs.
