Can I read my own tarot cards?

I'm curious, can one actually read their own tarot cards? I've heard that it's best to have a neutral third party interpret the cards for you, but I'm wondering if there's any validity in reading them yourself. Wouldn't it be biased or influenced by your own thoughts and emotions? Or is it possible to achieve an objective reading by following certain guidelines and practices? I'm eager to learn more about this and see if it's something I can do on my own.
