Does folding home pay?

I'm curious about the potential financial rewards of participating in Folding@home. Does Folding@home pay its contributors in any way, or is it purely a volunteer-based effort? Are there any incentives or bonuses for those who contribute their computing power to the project? And if so, how does the payment system work?
