Can I wear jeans to Meteora?

I'm planning a trip to Meteora, Greece and I'm wondering about the appropriate attire. I'm a fan of jeans and I usually wear them everywhere I go. But given that Meteora is a sacred site with monasteries perched on top of towering rock pillars, I'm unsure if jeans would be considered respectful or even suitable for the occasion. So, can I wear jeans to Meteora, or should I opt for something more formal and traditional? I'd appreciate any advice you have on this matter.
