Does Amazon own Atlas?

Excuse me, but could you please clarify something for me? I've come across some information that mentions Amazon and Atlas being linked in some way, and I'm wondering if Amazon actually owns Atlas. Is this true, or is there some sort of misunderstanding or confusion here?
