Is there a downside to Global Entry?

I'm curious, is there any potential disadvantage to enrolling in the Global Entry program? While it certainly seems convenient for frequent travelers to expedite their customs and immigration processes, I'm wondering if there's a flip side to the coin that I might be overlooking. Are there any hidden fees, increased scrutiny, or other unforeseen consequences that travelers should be aware of before signing up?
