Are male or female Akitas better?

I'm curious to know, when it comes to choosing an Akita dog, is there a preference among owners for either male or female dogs? Are there any significant differences in temperament, behavior, or care requirements between the sexes that potential owners should be aware of? Or is it largely a matter of personal preference?
