What is the end point of osmosis?

Could you please clarify what you mean by "the end point of osmosis"? Osmosis is a natural process that occurs when two solutions of different concentrations are separated by a semi-permeable membrane. The movement of water molecules from the area of lower solute concentration to the area of higher solute concentration continues until the concentrations on both sides of the membrane become equal. So, in a sense, the "end point" of osmosis would be when equilibrium is reached and there is no further net movement of water molecules across the membrane. Is there a specific aspect of osmosis you're interested in, or do you have a different concept in mind? What is the end point of osmosis?
