Can you reverse wide feet?

I'm curious, can you really reverse wide feet? I've heard mixed opinions on the subject, with some people claiming it's possible through exercises or even surgery, while others say it's simply a matter of genetics and there's nothing that can be done. What's your take on the matter? Is there any scientific evidence to support the idea that wide feet can be altered or reduced in size? And if so, what methods are considered SAFE and effective?
